How to choose between an Omni and a Yagi?
This 2.4GHz Omni antenna offers 360 deg horizontal coverage in its upright position whereas a Yagi is a directional antenna that picks up the signal in the direction it is pointing.
Hence, the Omni is widely deployed in hotspots for providing Internet access for WiFi PCs in its vicinity and in boats where they drift in all directions.
The Wide Angle design offers better near-field coverage even if the Omni is hoisted high up in a pole, a key feature when it is connected to a Catch&Share Repeater for picking up remote signals and share it with the WiFi PCs simultaneously around it.
